I'll preface this by saying that I'm an acquaintance of one of the artists.


I think this game is a great proof of concept with some really enjoyable art, but it seems a bit too forgiving for the feeling that I was expecting based on the appearances of the doom guy lad, aliens, and the general nuclear/industrial aesthetic of environment and nuclear baby that you carry around.  

Problems that I see with the game:
Healing the nuclear baby at pylons isn't telegraphed enough, nor is the range of the pylons, which isn't telegraphed at all. Some sort of radiation aura would do wonders for both purposes.

The nuclear baby is too durable, and I don't know if I like there being a time component to its durability, especially when there are very long roads between some level blocks.

It felt strange to beat a boss alien just to have the screen fade to black, rather than continue down another hallway.

Overall, it's an interesting start, though it only held my attention for about eight minutes.
